The Prophet 5 was made by Sequential Circuits, Inc. between 1977 and 1984. On it's release it was the World's leading polyphonic synthesizer, it's sound was renowned and is still sought after today. It is still considered a masterpiece and still has a unique sound.
This ReFill features hundreds of samples of sounds specifically created for this CD using a Prophet V - you won't find any of these sounds anywhere else. The resulting 550+ megs of data, a total of 1400+ samples, was then programmed into NN19 patches so every Reason user can experience the joy of owning a Prophet V in 2003 - virtually!
Patches are typically created using 13 multisamples (C/F/A1-4 + C5) recorded at 24 bit, hiss reduced, normalised, and only then dithered to 16 bit. All sounds were recorded manually, one by one, so the recorded sound is very close to the original. As the Prophet V is mono you get twice as much sound as you would expect!
NN19 Patches are divided up as follows:
Bass (28), Dark Synthesis (8), Effects (20), GM Kits (2), Guitars (8), Keys (18), Pads (25), Synthesis (14)
There are also 10 ReDrum kits inc. Clean, Dirty, Electric, Abnormal and more!
Format Info
GENERAL: ReFills are exclusively for use with Propellerheads Reason. They are preset expansions that transform Reason and can offer you new sounds for every module in Reason. Not all ReFills contain content for every module and libraries that are essentially only REX file-based (like drum loop libraries) are generally only released as REX CDs rather than ReFills. ReFills make sample libraries come to life!
SPECIFIC: This ReFill contains simply NN19 patches of multisampled sounds that you can play. No sequences, hence no REX files. An update that will add some REX files and NNXT programs is due soon!
