Your order will be charged for the amount displayed in the selected currency automatically upon submission on our secure server. Orders are generally processed each working day and will be updated to processing and sent in due course. All prices include standard First Class or Air Mail delivery at no cost to you. If you wish to upgrade delivery to a courier service this can usually be arranged at cost too.

The website is geared up for credit card payments which are nearly always the quickest and easiest method. However we can accept payment by cheque, postal order, PayPal or even cash by registered post. We cannot arrange COD unfortunately. All payments must be in in UK pounds sterling for the appropriate amount. It is relatively costly and difficult usually to arrange this for overseas orders so credit card or PayPal is generally best. See Pricing Information section for full payment details.

When you buy a sample CD from AMG you are buying a non-transferrable, single user licence. This basically means you are buying the right to use the sounds in line with the licence terms. You are not granted any rights outside these. This obviously covers any form of piracy but also reselling, lending or any other use outside those granted by the licence terms of that particular CD. Licensing does vary from title to title so you should check the page for the title you are interested in for any special conditions. Generally though you are licensed to use the samples in your music without any additional payments. Library/Production music usage is excluded as is the use of any of our Cds in the creation of any competitive product of any sort. This includes their use as sounds rather than music in any product. Our newer CDs are all covered by our standard written licence but if you are in any doubt about any licensing issue please contact us to clarify the situation.

If you are not using our CDs commercially you do not need to licence them although you must still stick to the terms of the licence. If you are using the CD commercially AND it is covered by our written licence then you MUST licence it. We realise our licensing system might be a bit of a hassle but we believe it is vitally important to protect the integrity of our CDs but also your investment when you buy one. When you buy an AMG CD you are buying a tangible licence that will also save you time and effort when your record company asks you to verify the source of your samples. The licensing system is designed to protect our legitimate users and offer an effective system to prosecute pirate users.

We realise that many people are enjoying using pirate copies of our CDs. They might feel clever at the moment but technology is already available, and being improved on a daily basis, that searches for samples digitally in huge archives of music. It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow but before too long computers are going to be automatically reporting uses of our samples to us. People who have used pirated samples in the past have good reason not to sleep too soundly. Record companies might not be so keen to hire producers who cost them so much money trying to avoid paying their dues. As a legitimate licensed user you can not only feel good about doing the right thing but also avoid having to worry about any nasty skeletons in your cupboard!

Because of the nature of sample software we never accept returns of any opened products. We will happily repair or replace and defective titles of course and exchange any sealed products that have been sent in error. We will refund any sealed product whose return is agreed in advance but, if there is no fault on our part, this is subject to a restocking fee being applied. In general however we will try to solve any problems you might encounter. We want to try and ensure you buy the title best suited to you, you are able to use it and are happy with your purchase for many years to come.

Right now many of our titles are only available direct. In Japan our distributor, Media Integration, carries most titles but in other territories you are likely to only find our titles offered by distributors of their host software - for example IK Multimedia distribute all our SampleTank titles. During 2004 however you should see more of our titles available from software distributors and also available in major music stores. Samples4.com however will always be the best place to find everything as it happens.

We can also advise you whether the format is likely to be released and if so when. In general we are trying to work through our catalogue and release all our best titles in todays most popular formats as soon as possible - but it is a huge job.
