REX Files
REX files are one of the most innovative sample formats ever to have been created. They allow loops to be sliced up, although it can be a bit of an art, and then replayed at any tempo but software that supports the format. It writes synthetic decays that you hear when loops are slowed but works particularly well for drums. No tagging, but REX files are excellent quality and great for drum loops. REX files were developed by the people who worked at Steinberg and went on to develop Reason ReFills too. AMG released the World's first REX file library in 1998.
